Up to now, I skilfully avoided fashion weeks, since I prefer to live fashion through some blog or magazine’s look, like all the girls do. I don’t work in the fashion world, I just run a fashion blog...a bit like all the girls, isn’t it?
This time I couldn’t resist to go from time to time to Milan, and to take a closer look at this fashion week. I decided to go to very few events, because I did not have so much time, and because, being my first time, I feared an overdose.

Finora avevo abilmente evitato le fashion week, preferendo viverle attraverso lo sguardo di qualche blog o giornale, come fanno tutte le ragazze. Non lavoro nel mondo della moda, ho soltando un blog di moda... un po' come tutte, no? Questa volta però non ho resistito alla tentazione di fare qualche salto a Milano, e vedere da più vicino questa fashion week. Ho scelto di recarmi a pochi eventi, da una parte per mancanza di tempo, e da un'altra perché mi sentivo come una stagista che ha tutto da scoprire, e non volevo sentirmi sopraffatta dalla prima volta. I had already participated to a similar discussion some time ago, but I had been disappointed by the uselessness of their purposes. This time, bloggers loved fashion magazines, and there has really been an exchange between the two worlds. Besides, Stefano is so funny and nice, he’s the best anchorman!

La settimana è cominciata due giorni prima dell'inizio della fashion week con Social Fashionista, un appuntamento sul tema dell'importanza del web nel sistema moda organizzato da Stefano Guerrini, Augmendy e webelieveinstyle.it in occasione della Social Media Week. Avevo già partecipato ad un dibattito sull'argomento tempo fa, ma all'epoca ero rimasta delusa dalla sterilità dei propositi. Questa volta, i blogger erano degli appasionati di giornali di moda, e non si è trattato di opposizione tra questi due mondi, bensì di rapporti. E Stefano è così buffo e simpatico che è il migliore presentatore che esista! Potete leggere di questa serata in un articolo di Arianna Chieli sul Corriere di Milano qui.

Altamira’s streetstyler I read froom the start, who was in Milan for the third time, and Beatrice of Style.it, a vintage passionate, here with one of her mom’s dresses. She was wearing blu tights of exactely the same colour of her sandals: too bad I don’t have other pictures of her!
Ecco Craig, lo streetstyler di Altamira che leggo da sempre, che veniva a Milano per la terza volta, e Beatrice di Style.it, un'appassionata di vintage, qui con un abito di sua mamma. Indossava dei collant blu esattamente dello stesso colore dei suoi sandali: peccato che non abbia altre foto di lei! 
On Tuesday I went to the much awaited Vintage is Vintage show, organized for
Fashionblabla’s lanching, and I really appreciated it: non-professional and smiling models, clothes from Florence’s famous vintage shop ANGELO, retro and happy music... but I’ll tell you again about it in a specific post.
Giovedì, l'aspettata sfilata Vintage is vintage, organizzata in occasione del lancio di Fashionblabla, mi è piaciuta molto: modelle non professioniste e sorridenti, vestiti del famoso negozio vintage fiorentino ANGELO, musica retro ed allegra... ma ve ne riparlerò in un post consacrato all'argomento. 
Look at the make-up, the intense black, the never ending eyebrows line: it’s exactely the opposite of today’s fashion, that tends to make almond eyes, but how elegant!
Ammirate il trucco, il nero intenso e la linea delle sopraciglie interminabile: è proprio il contrario della moda di oggi, che tende a fare gli occhi a mandorla, ma che eleganza!
On friday I should have met Diego Rossetti presenting Fratelli Rossetti’s new collection, but I just crossed him... it’s a cattle-transporting truck’s fault, that was overturned on the highway, and all the animals just escaped: one hour delay, but I could nonetheless admire these shoes that are really in my taste! This collecion includes retro and feminine shoes without heels, because womanliness is more subtile than a pair of heels or a décoleté: I do agree (and I want these shoes in all colours!).
Venerdì, dovevo incontrare Diego Rossetti che presentava la nuova collezione dei Fratelli Rossetti, ma l'ho solo incrociato... la colpa di un camion di bestiame rovesciato sull'autostrada e degli animali che sono scappati: un'ora di ritardo, ma ho comunque potuto ammirare queste scarpe che sono proprio di mio gusto! Questa collezione vuole proporre scarpe retro e femminili senza tacchi, perché la femminilità è più sottile di un paio di tacchi o un décoleté: quanto mi trovo d'accordo (e voglio queste scarpe in tutti i colori!)

Fashion crowd her blog? She publishes the best shopping addresses taken from people working in the fashion sector, for me it’s this year’s “love-at-first-sight”-blog!
Unfortutalely, no Costume national’s show picture: it took place in piazza Duomo, under a thick rain. What a pity, because the show in the square offered unexpected scenes to the public, like two homelesses with their wine bottle (nearly empty) completely hypnotized by the big screen’s images, or an american tourist with which I shared my umbrella who was surprised to be in Milan during the fashion week.

E poi ho conosciuto meglio Giacomo di Jake in progress e Vanessa, che ha anche accettato di essere fotografata, cosa che pare sia rara! Conoscete Fashion crowd, il suo blog? Pubblica i migliori indirizzi di shopping della gente che lavora nella moda, fashion editor, fashion designer, etc: è proprio il mio colpo di fulmine "bloggesco" di quest'anno! Niente foto invece della sfilata di Costume national in piazza Duomo sotto una pioggia battente: peccato, perché una sfilata in piazza offriva delle scene inaspettate nel pubblico, come due senza tetto con la bottiglia di vino (piuttosto vuota) in mano, che erano ipnotizzati dalle immagini sullo schermo gigante, o questo turista americano col quale ho condiviso l'ombrello che si stupiva di essere capitato a Milano per la fashion week.
Yesterday, Brioni's fashion show, so refined and delicate, charmed me. But it merits its own post.

Ah! Vintage! I like it so much I called my Facebook profile L’armadio del delitto modavintage. Well, no, in fact I called it like that because “L’armadio del delitto” (that means literally “The closet of crime”, although there’s a pun in Italian) frightens strangers: they believe I’m a murderer looking for victims on FB before hiding their corpse in a closet.
