Last week, I have promised you other aunt Cecilia's stories, and this outfit she gave me made me remember the first time she wore it.
Aunt Cecilia had noticed a liberal politician, whose name I must unfortunately keep unsaid. He evidently was more seducing than his colleagues! My aunt had only seen him on tv, but she already knew that between them, there would have been passion: she only had to catch his attention. You have to know that in those times, my aunt had just left her second husband, a richest and diabolic manufacturer, after she discovered she had been married for interest (in fact her husband used her in order to enter in relation with her lover Fulgenzio's family). However in those times, Fulgenzio was dark and distant, and began to fear to be in danger for his life. Nobody ever took him seriously, and instead, some years later… ah! Cecilia never pardoned herself for not having listened to him!
But let's return to our politician. He represented the contrary of Cecilia's future ex-husband, he hoped to change the country and believed in his ideas. So Cecilia went to one of his conferences dressed in red, with this skirt and this T-shirt - she was color block before everyone else - and seeing her, the politician gave her the carnation he had in the eyelet. In a short while a passionate and troubled love story began between them.
Any resemblance to real fact and aunts is purely coincidental.

La scorsa settimana, vi ho promesso altre storie di
zia Cecilia, e vestendo questa mise che mi ha regalato, ho ricordato la prima volta che l'ha indossata.
Zia Cecilia aveva notato un uomo politico di sinistra, di cui purtroppo devo tacere il nome. Di sicuro era molto più seducente dei suoi colleghi! La zia l'aveva visto solo in tv, ma sapeva già che fra loro, ci sarebbe stata passione: si trattava solo di farsi notare da lui. Dovete sapere che in questa epoca, la zia aveva appena lasciato il secondo marito, un ricchissimo industriale diabolico, dopo aver scoperto di essere stata sposata per interesse (infatti il marito la usò per entrare in relazione con la famiglia del suo amante Fulgenzio). D'altronde a questa epoca, Fulgenzio era cupo e distante, e cominciava a temere che qualcuno minacciasse la sua vita. Nessuno lo prese mai sul serio, e invece, qualche anno dopo... ah! Cecilia non si è mai perdonata per non averlo ascoltato!
Ma torniamo al nostro politico. Lui rappresentava il contrario del futuro ex-marito di Cecilia, sperava di cambiare il Paese e credeva nelle sue idee. Così Cecilia andò ad una sua conferenza vestita di rosso, proprio con questa gonna e questa maglietta – è stata color block prima di tutti – e vedendola l'uomo politico le regalò il garofano che aveva all'occhiello. Poco dopo fra di loro cominciò una storia appassionata quanto travagliata.
