Milan Fashion Week e lancio di torte alla crema

Before disguising myself as Loulou de la Falaise in Paris (yes yes, just like that), here you are some discoveries and meetings of Milan Fashion Week.

Prima di travestirmi in Loulou de la Falaise a Parigi (sì sì, proprio così), ecco qualche scoperta ed incontro fatti durante la settimana della moda milanese.

My friend, the streetstyler Kamel, is been in Milan for the first time. His signature? Smiling and happy girls (how I love pleated skirts).

Il mio amico streestyler Kamel è stato per la prima volta a Milano. La sua firma? Ragazze sorridenti e felici (quanto mi piacciono le gonne plissetate).

And to relax my mind, "il Circo delle Pulci", where I discovered La Bottega di Zanzù, where I obviously bought some vintage clothes and admired children throwing cream cakes. What a pity I didn't take any photo of people dressed in 40s-50s style!

E per cambiarmi le idee, il Circo delle Pulci, dove ho scoperto La Bottega di Zanzù, comprato (ovviamente) un paio di cose vintage e ammirato i bambini lanciare le torte alla crema. Peccato che non ho fatto foto della gente in stile 40-50!

The new schoolbag' syndrome

First walk in Turin since my return from holidays. The centre is a sequence of small parks and squares bound together by well-ordered streets. Some people going by bike, the first red leaves, no chaos. As a relaxing walk in the country (but with the beautiful boutiques of a city of nearly one million people, hehe!)
In September, I like the style "it is summer but not holiday”. Just take the first dress you stumble upon and add new-fall-fashion accessories (It must be the syndrome "I have a new schoolbag!").
Here I have a dress H&M from 5 years ago and sandals Pierre Hardy bought this summer to Anet Vintage Club. The accessories "new schoolbag' syndrome" are still better than a new schoolbag:

Primo giro per Torino dal mio ritorno dalle vacanze. Il centro è un seguito di piazzette e piccoli parchi rilegati fra loro da vie ben ordinate. Qualche persona in bicicletta, le prime foglie rosse, niente caos. Riposante quanto una passeggiata in campagna (ma con le belle boutique di una città di quasi un milione di abitanti, hehe!)
In settembre, mi piace lo stile “è estate ma non vacanza”. Basta prendere il primo abito che capita ed aggiungerci gli accessori nuovi-autunnali-alla moda (sarà la sindrome “ho una nuova cartella per la scuola”).
Qui ho un abito H&M di ben 5 anni fa e dei sandali Pierre Hardy presi da Anet Vintage Club quest'estate. Gli accessori “sindrome della cartella nuova” sono ancora meglio di una cartella nuova:

- the linen tote bag with lozenges by Diane Von Furstenberg: I'm mad for tote bag (like everybody, you'll say) while I go out only with wallet + telephone. Okay, it’s alright!

- la tote bag di lino a losanghe di Diane Von Furstenberg: sono nella follia delle tote bag (come tutte quante, mi direte) mentre esco raramente con altro che portafoglio + telefono. Vabbé, fa lo stesso!

- The Borsalino felt hat, the wide-brimmed one, my favourite.

- Il cappello di feltro Borsalino, quello a falda larga, il mio preferito.

- And a Donatella Pellini bracelet with lots of beads. The whole on the website Monnier Frères which just opened in Italy after its success in France.

- E poi un braccialetto Donatella Pellini con un sacco di perline. Il tutto dal sito Monnier Frères che ha appena aperto in Italia dopo il suo successo in Francia.

But please reassure me: you too are victims of the syndrome of the new schoolbag?

Ma rassicuratemi: anche voi siete vittime della sindrome della cartella nuova?

150 anni di moda

Everyone is talking about Milan? Well, I talk about Turin and Venaria! In fact, everyone is talking about "Fashion in Italy. 150 years of elegance" that opened last Friday in the Reggia di Venaria, 10 kilometers from Turin, where I have been with several girls among which Ale from Rosaspina Vintage. Believe me, it's worth the visit! A collection of 150 dresses from the Risorgimento times to today, including various stage costumes and diva dresses, so beautiful!

Tutti parlano di Milano? Bene, io parlo di Torino e di Venaria! D'altronde tutti parlano di “Moda in Italia. 150 anni di eleganza” che è stata inaugurato lo scorso venerdì alla Reggia di Venaria a 10 chilometri da Torino dove sono stata con diverse ragazze tra cui Ale di Rosaspina Vintage. Credetemi, vale la visita! Una collezione di 150 vestiti dal Risorgimento ad oggi fra i quali diversi costumi di scena e da diva, uno splendore!

But, as for Ale (who, in her beautiful lace dress from the 40s, matched perfectly to the place), the part that most fascinated me is the one about the ready-to-wear from 1970 to the present, edited by Franca Sozzani: a catwalk where the mannequins show with a proud look, with a public wearing clothes of the leading contemporary Italian designers (photo above). Magic!

Ma, come per Ale (che, nel suo bel vestito di pizzo anni 40, si abbinava perfettamente al luogo), la parte che più mi ha colpita è quella del prêt-à-porter del 1970 ad oggi, curata da Franca Sozzani: una passerella dove dei manichini sfilano, con l'aria fiera, con un pubblico che indossa i vestiti dei principali stilisti italiani contemporanei (foto qui sopra). Magico!

Franco Curletto, well-known hair stylist from Turin (who loves to speak French!) created the mannequins' hairstyles and make-up in collaboration with L'Oréal. On this occasion L'Oréal presented the new Kérastase's custom line, Fusio Dose, and we reached Curletto for a soin (first time I go to the hairdresser with a dozen friends, we had fun!)

Franco Curletto, famoso hair stylist torinese (che ama parlare francese!) ha realizzato le acconciature e il trucco dei manichini in collaborazione con L'Oréal. In questa occasione L'Oréal ci ha presentato, prima dell'inaugurazione della mostra, la nuova linea personalizzata di Kérastase, Fusio Dose, e abbiamo raggiunto Curletto per un soin (prima volta che vado dal parrucchiere insieme a una decina di amiche, ci siamo divertite!)

L'Armadio Del Delitto Vintage on Etsy!

Here are the first things of the wardrobe of my aunt Cecilia on Etsy with a lot of stories: her eight husbands, her hippy period, the 80s in Hollywood…
Above the portrait of Aunt Cecilia, made by Eudoxie, my family’s official portraitist! Isn’t she an irresistible aunt?

Ecco le prime cose del guardaroba di mia zia Cecilia su Etsy insieme ad un sacco di storie, i suoi 8 mariti, il suo periodo hippie, gli anni 80 ad Hollywood...
E poi qui sopra il ritratto di zia Cecilia, realizzato da Eudoxie, la ritrattista ufficiale della mia famiglia! Non è una zia irresistibile?


Right now, a lot of tailoring clothes "Aunt Cecilia style," but in the next days many cute and cheap dresses will arrive, as well as the size L, bags and accessories, a lot of polka dot dresses ... and the winter collection too!
Most of the photos (the nicely taken ones) were took by Sara Cimino, the nicest photographer of the earth, who did not count the hours spent for L’armadio and who just opened a new, beautiful site. I’ll never thank you enough!

Per ora trovate soprattutto dei vestiti di sartoria molto “zia Cecilia”, ma in questi giorni arriveranno numerosi vestitini carini e poco cari, così come i vestiti taglia L, le borse ed accessori, tutta una serie di vestiti a pois... e poi anche la collezione invernale!
La maggior parte delle foto (quelle fatte bene) sono state fatte da Sara Cimino, la fotografa più simpatica della terra che non ha contato le ore consacrate a L'armadio e che appunto ha appena aperto un nuovo, bellissimo sito. Non la ringrazierò mai abbastanza!

My aunt Cecilia, who spent her life collecting husbands and luxury clothes, used to love two things: silk and Gucci. Her lover the maharajah knew it and any time he came to Italy, he called directly Rodolfo Gucci to get an advise about the right item to gift to his lover. “This polka dot skirt + top will always let her be noticed in society and will bring her succes” Rodolfo said.

Rodolfo was right, and this Gucci outfit I inherited has succeeded every time that I worn it. It had also be on Vogue China and Style.com photographed by Tommy Ton, on Citizen Couture and Style.it.

Actually, no one knows if aunt Cecilia truly existed. But a few months ago I inherited what would have been her guardrobe: the gifts received from her first 7 husbands and all the men who loved her! A mountain of clothes that date from years 50s to years 80s.

So I have thought about opening an online vintage boutique, L'armadio del delitto vintage, to sell part of my collection. It will open in a few days.

Mia zia Cecilia, che collezionava i mariti e i vestiti di lusso, amava due cose: la seta e Gucci. Il suo amante il maharajah lo sapeva ed ogni volta che veniva in Italia, chiamava direttamente Rodolfo Gucci per farsi consigliare l'articolo giusto da regalare alla sua amata. “Questa gonna + maglia a pois la faranno sempre notare in società e la porterà al successo” aveva detto Rodolfo.

Rodolfo aveva ragione, e questa mise Gucci che ho ereditato ha successo ogni volta che la porto. E' anche stata su Vogue China e Style.com fotografata da Tommy Ton, su Citizen Couture e Style.it.

In realtà non si sa se zia Cecilia sia veramente esistita. Ma pochi mesi fa ho ereditato ciò che sarebbe stato il suo guardaroba: i regali ricevuti dai suoi 7 primi mariti e da tutti gli uomini che l'hanno amata! Una montagna di vestiti che datano dagli anni 50 agli anni 80.

Così ho pensato di aprire una boutique di vintage online, L'armadio del delitto vintage, per vendere parte della mia collezione. Aprirà fra pochi giorni.
